For the occasion of Milan Design Week 2024, Villa Mozart, Serapian’s home, transforms itself into an inspiring set of initiatives linked to the dialogue between design culture and know-how, presented in the ‘Arts & Crafts & Design’ exhibition.
GROUND FLOOR
On the ground floor of the Villa takes place the eighth edition of Doppia Firma, a project of Fondazione Cologni and Living, which showcases never-before-seen works born from 15 creative partnerships between great international designers and Milanese Master of Art of excellence. Serapian together with the Milanese designer Cristina Celestino will present “Pli”, a Bespoke modular sofa in Mosaico woven leather. The seat proposes a new way of articulating space, reinventing places through the identification of a rediscovered comfort and a declared geometric composition.
Under the patronage of Serapian, on the first floor visitors will be able to discover “Secret Garden”, tribute to the iconic “Secret Bag”, an exhibition of unique design pieces that have been specially conceived and designed by the young talents of Creative Academy and handcrafted by one of Italy's most accomplished and talented glass masters, Simone Crestani. The sophisticated design exhibition, done by the creative and interior design duo Eligo Studio, is inspired by the fusion of artifice and nature to which the villa itself is entirely covered.
The garden in front of the entrance to Villa Mozart will welcome visitors in the Atelier with “Intrecci Italiani”, a special installation of works by Bonacina, leader in the processing of rattan since 1889. During the week, there will be a special Atelier featuring artisans from Serapian and Bonacina at work in the creation of Bespoke design pieces in collaboration.
